At Saint Mark’s High School, the Visual and Performing Arts Department is dedicated to cultivating the creative gifts of our students as a reflection of God’s beauty and truth. Rooted in the Catholic tradition, we believe that artistic expression is a profound way to glorify God, uplift the human spirit, and deepen our understanding of His creation.
Through visual art, music, theater, and dance, we seek to inspire creativity that reflects the dignity of the human person, made in the image and likeness of God.
We are committed to fostering an environment where students can explore their artistic abilities in a way that promotes personal growth, collaboration, and service to others. Just as Christ used parables and symbols to reveal divine truths, we strive to use the arts as a means of evangelization, compassion, and cultural enrichment.
Empowered by faith and guided by the Holy Spirit, our students will go forth as creators, performers, and visionaries who bring light and goodness to the world, always seeking to reflect God’s love through the beauty of their work. “For through the beauty and goodness of created things comes a corresponding perception of their Creator.” (Wisdom 13:5)
